Biography

Marieke Langemeyer has been working as Senior advisor Dissemination & Implementation at the Brain Research and Innovation Centre in Utrecht since June 2019.
After obtaining a master's degree in Social and Organizational Psychology in 1998 and Media Psychology in 1999 at Utrecht University, she started working at the Ministry of Defence. The first 10 years in various functions around the psychological selection of soldiers. Since 2019 she's been working at the Military Mental Health Care Organization of the Ministry of Defence, currently as a senior advisor at the Brain Research and Innovation Centre. In 2018 she completed training to become a Mediator.

Activities

Within the Brain Research and Innovation Centre, Marieke is involved in various topics involving communication. She is a source of information and sparring partner in questions about psychological problems among military personnel. She is jointly responsible for collecting, securing and disseminating knowledge about military mental healthcare, both nationally and internationally. She has extensive experience in supervising interns, is familiar with the target group of adolescents and provides information about the adolescent brain.
