Biography

Since July 2025, Nienke Dijk has been working as a research assistant at the Brain Research and Innovation Centre (BRaIC). She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Life Science & Technology at the University of Groningen, with a specialization in behavior and neuroscience. She then completed the Master's program in Medical Biology with a specialization in Neurobiology at Radboud University in Nijmegen. During her internships at the department of Psychiatry at Radboudumc, she conducted research on depression in Parkinson’s disease. In this context, she used PET imaging to visualize dopaminergic systems and fMRI to analyze changes in neuroconnectivity.

Nienke carries out a variety of tasks that contribute to the support of the research of the BRIaC.
