Biography

Carmen has been working as a research assistant at the Expertise Centre MGGZ since March 2026. After completing her bachelor's degree in Biology at Utrecht University, she pursued the master’s programme in Cognitive Neurobiology and Clinical Neurophysiology at the University of Amsterdam. For her graduation internship, she worked at TNO, where she conducted research on measuring brain data during mental and sleep-related fatigue. This research took place in a defence context and focused, among other things, on gaining a better understanding of mental workload and fatigue in military personnel.
