Biography
Thijs has been a research intern at the Expertisecentrum MGGZ since September 2026. He is enrolled in the Research Master in Clinical and Health Psychology and is writing his master's thesis within the BEATS project. He completed his bachelor's degree in Psychology at Utrecht University, where he studied individual differences in the tendency to anthropomorphize nature. Previously, Thijs gained practical experience as a temp worker and group leader in mental health care, including at the Leger des Heils (Salvation Army), GGZ and Jellinek, supporting clients in addiction and psychiatric care. Through the BEATS project, Thijs hopes to gain hands-on research experience at the intersection of treatment and research.
