Biography
Willem has been a research intern at the Brain Research and Innovation Centre (BRaIC) since February 2026. Prior to this, he completed a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. Since September 2024, he has been pursuing a research master's degree in Neuroscience & Cognition. During previous internships, he gained experience with EEG techniques and brain stimulation, including researching auditory processing and gaining a better understanding of what happens in the brains of patients with delirium.
At BRaIC, Willem will mainly contribute to the BR-IDGE research, where he hopes to learn more about insomnia by combining practical research experience with analyses of the brain connectivity of people with sleep problems.
