In the Mind and EEG Corpus Study (MECS), brain activity, speech, and psychological characteristics are measured using EEG (electroencephalography), speech, and questionnaires. These data are used to build a scientific database for future research into the relationship between the brain, behaviour, and mental health.

Objective:
Establishing a scientific database to investigate brain activity, psychology, and behavior using new, innovative methods.
Target group:
People between 18 and 65 years.
Furthermore, you must be proficient in the Dutch language. You may not have a hairstyle that prevents the EEG from making skin contact (cornrows, weave, etc.). You must be able to remove your jewelry. You may not have large metal parts in your head (a dental wire is allowed). You may not have a pacemaker or an internal electronic device.
